The internal file system, with an audit trail.
A staff-facing portal for storing and retrieving organisational documents, used by the people running the organisation day to day. Files are organised in folders and read in the browser, with activity recorded in a log for compliance review.
Not everything should leave the building. Documents are held in two separate places depending on whether they may be downloaded at all — view-only material is served for reading on screen and is never handed over as a file.
Administrators provision users directly or by generating an invite link, manage roles, and review activity.
The portal runs against its own dedicated Firestore database rather than sharing the default one — isolation without standing up a second Firebase project.
An internal tool for the people running the organisation day to day — somewhere to keep company documents and get at them without going through anyone. Not all of it is meant to leave the building, so the portal holds downloadable material and view-only material in separate places: read-only documents are served for reading on screen and are never handed over as a file. Every download is recorded, which is what makes the distinction worth having when someone asks who accessed what.
