What we do with your information.

Last updated 25 September 2026. This applies to tinkertogether.studio and to anyone who contacts or engages us as a client.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. That's it — we don't pull in anything else from your browser or device beyond what any standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent).

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you: it records the page, the site you came from, and your country, browser and device type.

If we work together on a project, we'll handle project-related communications, files you share with us, and any content or data required to complete the work. We only keep what's needed.

We don't run advertising trackers or sell-side analytics. We don't embed third-party widgets that collect data on our behalf.

How we use it

Contact form submissions are used to respond to your enquiry — nothing else. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without asking first.

Project data is used to do the work. If a project involves AI tools — for content generation, analysis, or anything else — we'll tell you before any of your content goes near a model, and we won't use models that train on submitted data without your agreement.

Where it's stored

Contact form submissions are stored in Firebase Firestore, which runs on Google Cloud infrastructure. Google's data centres include Australia-region options; we use those where available. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle data at the infrastructure level.

If we work together, project files and communications are typically stored in whatever tools we agree on at the start of the engagement — we'll be explicit about this upfront.

Third parties

We don't sell your data. Ever. That's not a caveat — it's the whole sentence.

The services we use to run this site — Firebase (Google), Vercel — process data as part of normal operation. Their privacy policies govern what they do at their end. We've chosen providers with reasonable practices, but we're not in a position to make guarantees on their behalf.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data from contact form submissions is kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. If an enquiry becomes a project, the relevant communications move into project records and are kept for the duration of the engagement plus three years — standard for business records.

If you want your data deleted sooner, just ask (details below) and we'll sort it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@tinkertogether.studio with a brief description of what you need and we'll respond within five business days.

We operate in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you have a complaint about how we've handled your information that we can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If something material changes — the tools we use, how we handle data, who we share it with — we'll update this page and note the date at the top. We won't bury significant changes in minor revisions.
